How to Tie a Boat to a Dock

To protect a boat while it is tied to a dock, the number and size of the fenders should be adapted to the water conditions.
In calm conditions, two fenders will generally be sufficient. When the waves are larger, use bigger fenders and add two more to the dock cleats, for a total of four fenders.
The video uses a Nomad Dock as an example, but the same principle can be applied to most docks.
When the location is regularly exposed to larger waves, mooring whips or another equivalent solution can also be used to keep the boat at a safe distance from the dock.
