Modular Pontoon That Fits in a 4’ x 8’ Trailer
Updated: Aug 26
At first glance, it does not really seem possible: how can a pontoon that is about 18’ long and 8.5’ wide fit into a small 4’ x 8’ trailer or even a pickup truck bed?
That is one of the major advantages of the Nomad Dock®: it is a modular pontoon designed to provide a large format on the water while remaining much easier to transport than a conventional pontoon.
Unlike a standard pontoon, the Nomad Dock® is built with a fully bolted and disassemblable structure. Its different components can be separated, stacked and transported in a much more compact format.
Once assembled, it becomes a pontoon-dock with about 8’ x 16’ of usable deck space, for an overall size of approximately 8.5’ x 18’.
Once disassembled, this modular pontoon can be transported in a 4’ x 8’ trailer or a pickup truck bed, depending on the configuration.
This design helps simplify transport to certain cottages, properties or bodies of water where moving a conventional pontoon would be much more complex.
A large pontoon on the water. A compact format for transport.
At E-Z Innovation, we design simple, strong and maintenance-free pontoons and docks made to help people enjoy the water differently.
The video is in French, but the demonstration clearly shows the concept in action.
